We are pleased to announce our new Design Team member: Jana from Germany. She's not only a talented scrapbooker but also an awesome photographer. (Check out her latest layout in the gallery using the Snowdrop kit.) Here's how she descibed herself:

I love anything crafty as I was taught the art of craft at a young age. I find creativity is the best way to unwind 'n' mixing with like-minded people is a joy. My main love is minibooks as I love little collections of photos all housed together with pockets 'n' openings. Layouts are great for single impact grabbing pictures. I dabble quite a lot in altered art 'n' am only really happy up to eyes in gesso, inks 'n' sprays. Give me some stamps 'n' I am in heaven!

Hello, I'm Vicki. I'm a full time Mum to two children under the age of 5. Both of which you will meet in my layouts. Along with my husband and two cats we live in the beautiful surrounding of the Yorkshire Wolds, and not far from York in the UK. I'm a scrapbooker, card maker, make the odd piece of jewellery and am just starting to dip my toe into the world of art journals.

Hello - I'm Polly and I live in a small village in Devon with my husband, dog, cats, chickens and parrot. I work as a transport planner and as I don't get many opportunities to be creative during the day, I'm often buzzing with ideas when I get home and I love the creative outlet that scrapbooking gives me. When I'm not scrapbooking I love photography, reading, handing out with friends, sleeping and shopping. Most of all I love being on holiday as it tends to combine all of my other favourite things! I've been scrapbooking and journaling for just over 2 years and my favourite subjects are my pets and friends, but I also like to take the opportunity to scrap some of my more 'artistic' pictures in order record my memories and impressions of places I've visited.

CHA 2010 Winter show predictions

br>Scrapbook industry experts are busy trying to predict the newest trends and products to be launched at the Winter CHA Show. One major trend indicator they watch is the colour palette.

Each year Pantone announces the colour of the year: in 2010 it is turquoise. The early peeks from CHA-Winter 2010 are in fact heavy on turquoise as well as on colours that complement turquoise, such as strong pink and bright yellow.

Check out for example the new mist colours designed by Heidi Swapp for Tattered Angels, or the wonderful new collection called Seaside Resort from Webster's Pages.

Other collections with a similar colour scheme include KasierCraft, GCD Studios, Shabby Green Door and K'n'Co's Serendipity.
